Dude wait till you find out about Sour Patch Kids. And Junior Mints. And Reeses Pieces.
And Turtles!
All so, so very disappointing.
I feel like my whole life has been a lie.

Probably the appeal of forbidden fruit.
When shallow beautiful women are climbing all over you for your money, that can get tiring.
They don’t have to worry about facing consequences. To them, raping a woman or a child is no different than ordering off-menu at a nice restaurant. Just another “small” perk of being filthy rich.
There’s probably a significant amount of canonically appropriate DuckTales fansmut out there.

Not unheard of.
Used to be, girls and women who couldn’t keep their mouth shut would get sent off to the asylum and labeled hysterical.
Minority women, especially, in this position, may find themselves forcibly sterilized, since a hysterectomy was considered a valid treatment for hysteria.
Before that we just told them they couldn’t vote, or own land. And before that we just called them witches.
Modern women got it so good. They get to be witchy, own land, vote, and keep their uterus as long as they want (though depending on the state they live in, they may not be able to decide what to do with it).
Modern men just realized “We don’t have to lock the women up when they talk, we can just ignore anything they say”.

I really gotta get better at reading labels. Turns out they are made almost entirely out of…CORN!
The bears are made of corn! With a small amount of cow and/or pig.

Wait, you mean to tell me gummy bears don’t contain actual bear?

…sigh…it seems people think that I’m siding with Sham Faultman here. I’m not.
There are, however, absolutely benefits to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Far better compute/watt and compute/dollar. Like…significantly. It makes a lot of sense for businesses to consolidate into VMs on a handful of large clustered servers, as opposed to running a bazillion pizza boxes each doing one thing.
There are also drawbacks to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Probably chief anong them being privacy and ownership of data. And that’s a big thing.

Emphasis on “need”, I suppose.
We could have never advanced past the Commodore 64, and that only had a 10th of that.
In many ways, we would’ve been better off.

Don’t worry, he’s working on a method of bottling and distributing air for purchase, so that you can have fresh air in your home or community!
He’s partnered with Aloysius O’Hare on it.
(This is a joke. It’s a reference to The Lorax by Dr. Seuss)

He’s not wrong, just completely fucking tonedeaf.
Ok, yea, sure, from a resource allocation perspective, it does make the most sense to centralize power. Having one giant system running at 80% is more efficient than having a thousand small systems running at 20%. This is why we virtualize servers.
The problem is, we want and need our RAM for more things than having conversations with your “brain”-washed hallucinating spy-bots.

They have the top google spots now for just about any question on any topic.
Obviously the next step is to use that position to their advantage – hide the content until the user is logged in. The Pinterest Strategy.

A lot of the OG’s have moved over. From Diggs exoduses (exodi? exodipodes?) We’re always the first to move, though. Digital nomads.
And the ones that would have been on Digg had they been born a decade or more earlier.
Eventually everyone else follows us, the new platform turns to shit, and we migrate again.
I hope the open, federated nature of lemmy prevents that…or at least delays it.

The internet regulation people have mountains of CSAM. And that’s just their personal stash.
Heh “The System is Down” used to be one of the songs they’d run around the house yelling while flicking the lights.
I also work in IT, but nobody seems to get it when I reference it during an outage.

The MSM is complicit, if not a downright accomplice or active participant.
News media in America is completely controlled by literally a handful of very wealthy people who are, if not friends with Trump, then at least close to his circle. MSM delivers the message that those people approved, and nothing more.
Also we should probably coin “MSI” as a term for mainstream internet. Google, Meta, Twitter, Amazon, OpenAI, and yes, even Reddit – again, handful of very wealthy people who are buddy-buddy with Trump, and we get their curated message.

They can’t be punished (within the system, at least) as long as the president controls the DOJ and enough of congress supports pedorape.
I legit thought that was a flip phone in the second frame, because I didn’t notice the knife in the first frame…and my immediate thought was “How old is this meme if you’re ranting in T9?”
I got my kids (7 and 10) singing “Badger, Badger, Badger” and quoting Charlie the Unicorn (complete with voices)…and I couldn’t be prouder.

An aparthid racist piece of shit controls most the money in the world and this is what he was doing while standing at the presidents right hand side with his latest genetically-enhanced clone child on his shoulders like a goddamn human shield?
Color me surprised. Actually don’t, because then Elon might try to kill me for not being white.

Idk about you but IMO locker rooms have the same etiquette as restrooms. Nobody says a fucking word, absolutely no eye contact, and clean the glory-hole after each use.
By posting this type of shit you are building his platform and legitimizing his opinion.
You are an enabler of one of the most privileged, selfish, and arrogant pieces of shit alive.
Stop.
This goes for OP and Futurism.
People like Altman live by the saying “No press is bad press”, by both ways you can interpret it:
Even if ragebait/engagement-bait. In the end it only legitimizes him.
And I get that by responding I’m also engaging, but I see this type of comment as more of an “investment” than an “engagement”.
