The dumb thing about that quote is that it doesn’t have to be an either/or situation. Engineers want to solve these problems by nature; if there were no voices from the top, we’d be getting AI to help us write better code, and trying to make AI write better code fast. For whatever reason the C-suites can’t just let things follow their natural course which would already result in wins for them, they have to spew the narrative that our jobs are completely changing so they can justify getting rid of them

I think a lot of Pixel devices came with a promo where your photos don’t count toward your drive space. That’s also the case for me

some of us don’t have friends, or at least none reliable enough to trust with an offsite backup machine 😂

I picked up a 10a for $250 USD over the summer. It was just a month or 2 before the Pixel 11 models came out so probably Google was liquidating the older model inventory. It’s my first GrapheneOS phone and I’m pretty satisfied so far. But I do wish Graphene was available for more brands
