(bof… I couldn’t find just the right image, so)

The sound is by KEF, the design is by Nothing. As such they sound great & look great.

Battery lasts well, comfort is good, EQ & NC is impressive. Price? Unbeatable.

I got them to replace my worn down AirPods Max, I’m no audiophile but I’d say the noise cancellation is the same and the sound is a bit worse than Apple, but like exactly worse as you’d expect for $200 less

I wish the earbuds (I had the Nothing Ear (a)) were better. They did sound great, and the pinch controls worked well. But I can’t justify getting them again after I experienced their battery issues. On one or both of the earbuds, they will no longer charge fully and drain within minutes. If you look up reviews on sellers and forums, this comes up a lot. Some users have had it happen multiple times with multiple sets. Nothing does not honor a warranty after a year, and customer service is not helpful. They are still rated very highly by customers and professional reviewers, because they ARE great at first, and reviewers typically review them immediately. I really wish I could have gotten them again for the price, sound, controls, and style, but they have very obvious QC issues, and recent posts by scorned users will show that it’s still a problem.

Unfortunately, Nothing’s site is overloaded with toxic javascripts, but I think the example here is this one?

Haha… all that said, I’m an older git, and don’t really give a toss about audiophiles’ blazing obsession upon this stuff. Like, just give me a set of $5 earbuds to let me listen to some MP3’s, and I’m good. Oh heck, I’ll even sing the songs back to you on karaoke night! 🙂

I’ve had my Sony XM4s for almost 6 years now, been using them a lot, and the battery’s still holding up really well and I haven’t even thought of looking into replacing the battery. I haven’t seen any disassembly guides for this one and I’m not claiming the battery’s going to hold up as well, but they might not be as disposable as you’d think they are.

Given the OP’s statement of widespread battery failure and no warranty on their previous producs, it seems like battery replacement is a necessity for their products.

The design doesn’t appeal to me, so my main takeaway is that Shaggy has a last name (%s="shaggy%20from%20scooby%20doo%20looking%20shocked) and I appreciate that.

I liked the whole idea that the… “Mystery Crew,” or whatever the heck they were supposed to be called, were pretty clearly four teenagers who liked to drive around and hook up in a van. (you know the classic van phase, right?)

One day it’s Shaggy & Velma, next day turn it’s Freddy & Daphne’s turn.

That said, the real story goes right back to Dobie Gillis! (haha, long story there)

So, in the end… how about Scooby Doo being the real hero of this series, right?
      Rooby-roo…!! :D

  • Looks wise? Whatever, I’m down for oddball design.

But they don’t look like something to wear for a couple of hours just enjoying tunes.

And, unlike you, if I’m dropping 200 on headphones, I want to hear every subtlety of the music, even if it isn’t perfectly reproduced. Like, I’m fine with a degree of weakness in the lows, maybe some sibilince in the highs, but vocals damn well need to be crisp, and nothing outright hidden.

There’s cans that can be damn near perfect for less. And both fit well enough and have enough potency that anc isn’t mandatory unless you’re running heavy equipment. I have some sennheisers that almost match my wired beyers, and I can run a weedeater without having to crank the volume.

So 200? With the complaints I’ve seen about these being muddy and prone to poor connection, I’m dubious at best. I sure as hell wouldn’t buy them blind. Besides, nothing as company annoys me. That’s unrelated to any quality issues with their devices, but no way would I drop 200 on anything they make unless it was absolutely above the standard

I guess this was a fun post in that the very last thing I cared about was the actual quality of the item in question, but it was interesting to hear all these reactions from all of you who do. Too bad the product wasn’t better-quality, but oh well.

Don’t buy things from nothing. They’ve gone down the forced enshittification route hard, and I say this as someone who liked thier phones
