Valve released two Proton updates to bring more Windows game compatibility to SteamOS / Linux. A small Proton 11.0-2e and a Proton 11.0-3 Release Candidate.

    I’m looking forward to the day where I can spin up a new Linux install and every game just works as well (or better) than Winblows.

    I want my games to “just work” with no tweaking at all, I already spend my work day doing that.

      It depends on the kind of games you play. This has basically been my experience for the past few years.

      I’ve only been on Linux for less than 2 years, but that’s how it works for me. Haven’t had a single game not work, and only had to tweak one. Initially I was checking protondb, but stopped after a few weeks as there was no point with everything just working by clicking “play”.

      Probably depends what kind of games you play.
