2·2 days agoI get that. I was weighing the Keyphone, Sidephone and Clicks Communicator. I’d have maybe gone with the Clicks but I waited too long and the price jumped up quite a bit.
I liked the Sidephone but the battery was smaller and non-replaceable, no headphone jack and no eSIM.
For me, since I was craving the phone style of my youth, the Keyphone was the clear winner but it’s just nice to see these alternative phone types in the market.
It’s not for everyone but I’ve switched to a Keyphone Hybrid. It has a removable battery, headphone jack, physical keyboard and de-googled OS.
It’s a “dumb phone” but they’re continuing to develop for it and are responsive to feedback. I love it because it’s the size of an iPhone Mini and it does what I need it to do without the distractions.
I have my old smartphone still that I use around the house or on WiFi similar to how many use a full size tablet.
Might also be an attempt to keep their Search numbers up. I saw an article recently that AI is hurting Google Search because of the lack of click through due to AI summaries.
By packaging them together they get to boost both options through a semi-captive audience.

5·6 days agoIt’s all theater and distraction. Coconut milk has been around an awful long time with no issue. Same with milk of magnesia.
The dairy industry only started caring when the term milk started getting used for viable alternatives to dairy milk. Industrial lobbying is all about protecting market share and that’s it.
This sounds a bit like people demanding that almond milk should be called “nut juice”.
You mean America’s dairy farmers?
They’re called Americans and it’s why the American penal system is about punishment rather than rehabilitation.
Oh and don’t forget the for profit motive of the American penal system too. How else will they maintain slavery and turn locking humans in cages into a profitable business.

Maybe this isn’t but that doesn’t mean Musk hasn’t committed, and shouldn’t be tried for, treason.
Whatever, I’m not going to argue with you about this anymore. You can say adjudicated or liable or guilty, just don’t say convicted because has has yet to face criminal charges. The dozens of victims spanning decades have yet to see justice and see this monster put on trial for his actual crimes of rape and sexual abuse.
Those people he hurt are owed justice which is why I said he hasn’t been convicted yet.

Might want to work on your reading comprehension. I have no doubt Trump raped E. Jean Carol, but what conviction? What criminal trial has Trump faced for any of his sex crimes?
I think you’re being pedantic. I was simply trying to call out that Trump has never faced criminal prosecution for rape, which convicted alludes to, but that he hopefully will soon.

I absolutely believe he is guilty of rape but Trump has never actually been convicted… yet.
He was found liable for sexual abuse in the E. Jean Carol verdict.
Hopefully he’ll have rape added to his convictions before hanging for treason.

Just checked and we’ve watched ~2000 episodes in the last 1 year and 10 months.
On the rare occasion it’s not The Office then it’s Parks and Rec, Bob’s Burgers or Modern Family.

It sure is, because my understanding is the dictionary definition. I don’t agree with the commenter you originally replied too either, but your reply, as I said, is not the gotcha you might think it was.
I don’t think this is the gotcha you think it is. You posted the etymology which is the origin of the word but not the modern definition.

Maybe, just maybe, they’re getting downvoted because people are tired of “benefit of the doubt” or speculative justifications for fascists.
Maybe people have, reasonably, decided that actions taken by this administration should be considered petty, punitive and unlawful unless and until they can provide evidence to the contrary.
The commenter may not hold the view but they are tacitly supporting fascistic behavior.
I’m not saying that you’re “wrong”, but the idea of giving the benefit of the doubt to a piece of technology in service of a corporation is, as the saying goes, bonkers.
