Generally I’m all for things like this, but I don’t want there to be workarounds and backdoors to prolong reddit’s life.
It want the acceleration towards its death to increase. I don’t want people to be able to enjoy it so that the spell of the addiction (one I was guilty of) can be broken.
I think we can all do our part by blocking the website from our search results. Let it just hemorrhage and die with its bot network and shitty people.

I currently use this to block reddit from my search results.
Currently old.reddit now requires an account to be logged in in order to view it.
Suspended accounts are also experiencing issues browsing old reddit since the update.
Additionally /r/all has been disabled and trying to access it from old.reddit results in a Reddit message saying “your network has been blocked.”
I can’t wait for the site to completely die.
When I’m in a rush I unironically go to BK because there’s never a line in my town. And I don’t understand why, it’s pretty good! Comparatively, anyway.
