I have no idea where that would be, but I’ll be looking around (have a stomach bug ATM so my energy levels are too low to do anything important).

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you get over stumbling upon the most beautiful girl in the world?
3·13 hours agoIf you make people uncomfortable, well, that’s creepy (your first post talks about it without flinching), and maybe you don’t do that.
The problem is that creeps think they aren’t creepy, and just needs to “find the right thing to do/say” like it’s some sort of puzzle. Don’t be that person is all I’m saying!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you get over stumbling upon the most beautiful girl in the world?
42·17 hours agoI have had loads of opportunities and more, but I have never ever harassed a girl just because I like her looks.
That’s just creepy.
It might be a fine line (IDK) but don’t be a creep.
Thanks but I want to post an mp3, not a link!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you get over stumbling upon the most beautiful girl in the world?
111·22 hours agoUh, don’t do that. That girl has loads of guys trying to “strike when the iron is hot” every day.
Be lucky there is beauty in this world, but don’t try to appropriate it just because you saw it, or you might destroy it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some Lemmy (non-ML) hive mind things that you don’t agree with?
33·22 hours agoProton has a shitty CEO but is also the best VPN (their email and other services are very good too) out there (in Switzerland too, they have one of the best laws for freedom of communication there is, and their servers are locked away under the mountains so both nuke safe and EU/USA regulations-safe), nobody has an alternative except like make your own email server (so easy!/s). Or Mullvad who finances a fascist political party.
But man if you’re on Proton you’re apparently adolf hitler.

Technology@lemmy.world•Solar Panels Are Now Producing So Much Power That They’re Leaving Nuclear Plants in the Dust: "Solar is now the engine of the power transition."English
1·5 days agoWell, the military have already figured it out it seems. And compared to the rest of the world it’s niche IMO.
For “poor countries”, solar + batteries is better than classic nuclear, so why build SMRs that are just much more expensive and take ages to build compared to solar (except in some niche places)?
We know how to do solar, transporting electricity etc. SMRs not so much, and they will be more expensive too. I just see absolutely no positive side for it for regular use. The nightmare having nuclear stuff all over the place is just an extra horror.

1·5 days agoThat’s how it’s done all over the place though. Sure, you can probably find some niche but in general I bet electric transport is better.

I also would like to have a perfect VPN & mail client, but for now nothing beats proton it seems (fuck that loser CEO attitude though, what the hell).
Also, if they trash it in their tests they won’t get other items.
