Alberta is so flat that it’ll take some effort to actually see it.

I bought the Seeed TRMNL DIY kit a while back, and had less time than I’d like to fiddle with it, but I was a bit disappointed with the current state of hosting your own server for it.

The TRMNL X has been running without recharging showing a single static image for well over six months. It might be approaching a year.

I mean, if it’s just a single static image you can go ahead and unplug the battery, e-ink doesn’t need energy to maintain an image.

I haven’t actually set up a family account yet, so can’t answer on that, sorry!

So yes, you have to use a different MX record, but you can share a domain name with your family. I switched to them this week, but haven’t managed to decide on a family domain name, as we all have different last names 🙃. Will probably use multiple domains.
