Yes but a pi zero 2w is $15 and is roughly equivalent to an OG B+. The problem as I see it is that computing segments like pis are jumping into the next segment up in power and in cost and nobody’s doing a very good job of marketing that or marketing the new product in the lower tier that are meant to actually replace them.

so they don’t have to deal with them
Yep, that’s the entire purpose of middle management. Making sure the c-suite doesn’t have to interact with the plebes.

It says durable polyethylene, so it would be like those disposable plastic tablecloths with some IP on it that you see at kid’s birthday parties.

Fun fact: The Shuttle Enterprise was intended to fly in space but by the time they got around to retrofitting it too many design changes had been made. Columbia, the first Shuttle to fly to space and the one that was lost in 2003, was started from the same design as Enterprise and was too heavy to easily fly to the ISS as a result of being an earlier design so it never did.

For sure, it would be stupid expensive, it still surprises me that it nobody has tried it.

It’s actually crazy to me that cruise ships exist but cruise zeppelins don’t. You are telling me me there isn’t a market for a treetop rainforest cruise because of a crash from almost 100 years ago but people will still fly on a 737???

Well…

You are making a lot of assumptions about your ability to kill all the electronics onboard in one shot and assuming that one drone will be the only one in the air…
Best of luck with your “good ‘ol boy” solutions.

As long as we are assuming that “skeet shooting” always means birdshot then sure… but I grew up around enough rednecks to know better than to make that assumption.
As I said to the other commenter, so is shooting a police drone… the legality of disposing of police equipment isn’t what is up for debate here.

You would also be arrested for skeet shooting a police drone… given that my argument was about the safety of that not the legality I’m not sure what you are on about.

That doesn’t make it safe to shoot in urban areas.

The person I am replying to specifically mentioned crossfire… please read before trying to gotcha.

It doesn’t matter if you are using a fucking 9mm even, what goes up must come down and unless you are capable of firing directly up and in no wind it’s going to come down with a ballistic trajectory.

That’s a really good way to kill people. They already make non ballistic ways to take out drones.

You are joking right?
IIRC they are locking them into a defrost cycle that would normally heat up the coils for a minute or two, just long enough to melt the frost.
