I miss the audio jack and agree with you, but all my phones always had audio jack on the bottom not far from the USB port

It used to be used for washing laundry, maybe someone is starting a new business

Isn’t it still running on Mastodon software?

Yep, I looked into Posteo two days ago and it looks like they still don’t support personal domains. :(
Where did you get that from

Oh, agreed. I would have to trust the VPN to actually not collect my data. That’s why I’m curious what VPNs people trust these days.
Tor is great. I used to run a middle/guard relay in the past, thinking about doing so again. The problem is that reuglar people shouldn’t run exit relay at home. And there aren’t many companies that would allow exit relays on their servers/in their datacentre. I get why, but that leaves only a (relatively) small number of exit relays and it’s so much easier for bad actors to control a significant number of them. :(

Out of curisoity, what would you recommend for privacy then?
Huh. Seems like my server is blocking leminal.space, after taking a quick look at them, I wouldn’t be surprised. Either they don’t do active moderation or they are lying about their rules. Either way it’s probably safer to just block them.

Pidgin, maybe. I like it.
Edit: Oops, I might have misread/misunderstood what you were asking. If you’re asking about server software, I’d suggest XMPP :)
Though I know Matrix is very popular (as shown by people others suggesting it)
I second this, I switched from Linux, but I think if I need to run Linux on a macnien again in the future I’d probably go with Gentoo.

“I think it’s the right strategy to aggressively front-load building capacity so that way we’re prepared for the most optimistic cases,” Zuckerberg told stockholders in 2025.
And what if the results aren’t optimistic? Do these people forget there are still some things in the world they can’t will into existence?

That might be just that they’ve got so much money in Meta that they can’t afford it fail.
Edit: what I mean is that there might be gambler’s fallacy at play

Yes. And again, patches aren’t a finite commodity.

Dibs on the patches? They are not finite.
“If the bad guys have guns, we need good guys with guns as well”
If they actually wanted to manipulate markets, they would use mainstream media.

I understand not everyone has seen Mean Girls, but it’s kind of funny that the film itself is ancient (22 years old I believe without looking it up)
Edit: Just checked. Yep, it came out in 2004.
Ooh, nice. I enjoyed sowm programming games in the past, after a quick look this looks like it could be fun. Thanks!
