Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you discover communities to subscribe to?
2·1 day agoI have subs but I never bother with them and browse ‘All’. If there’s anything I don’t want to keep seeing I just filter out that community.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Is webmin safe to have accesible over the webEnglish
11·8 days agoMakes sense. Its unfortunate though that it presents a hurdle for end users. My users need to hit a webpage and acesss stuff, asking them to connect to a VPN client is too much.

31·8 days agoUnfortunately no. I’m in a similar place to you, currently using Proton and SimoleLogin but hoping to switch to a custom domain and move from Proton. Tuta has been a strong recommendation here but I don’t have personal experience with them yet.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Looking for a user friendly replacement for Proton Mail + Proton Pass with alias generation
10·8 days agoJust to mention it, addy.io is partnered with Tuta much like SimpleLogin is partnered with Proton.
I’ve used Authelia. I like it because all the config can happen in a config file so I can easily back it up, modify it, and deploy it with Ansible

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Mobile phones - do you store your apps in folders or pages (screens)?
5·11 days agoNo folders. I gave up on that a long time ago. It is too much maintenance to organize everything and it doesn’t really help you find things that much. I just scroll through the alphabetical drawer of all apps to find what I need.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•[SOLVED] Caddy and multiple subdomains/reverse proxiesEnglish
9·16 days agoIts actually simpler than I expected to do the wildcard cert setup in Caddy. Its not necessary to nest everything. You can just add the wildcard block at the top, and leave the rest of the config as-is, and they will default to using the wildcard instead of individual certs.

I assume that’s all sound proofing. How well does it work? And like the other commenter asked, I’m curious how it affects the temperature
