I guess it’s nice to see the anti-AI hysteria being used for something constructive :p

5·10 hours agoOne thing I think is a good place to start is building social connections.
this drives me bonkers when people tell me to do this because the parts of spectrum i inhabit invariably leads to people gatekeeping me out of any social gathering or group – there are other ways to contribute.
the last 30 years of trying to do this have taught me that there’s a SIGNIFICANT number of people who are gatekept out of fold because of their neurospicey behaviors and it seems to be most frequently done at the hands of other neurospicey people considering how many flock to leftism.
the difference is that pendelton’s identity, aesthetics, and bubbly personality transcends the gatekeeping stereotypes and it keeps her message accessible, whereas second thought is just another voice – it’s an exceptionally well done and noteworthy voice, but it’s still more of the same as before and unpalatable to most as a result.
it’s surprising to learn this – i had assumed that whatsapp was a bigger privacy nightmare.
I consider the mods are total assholes and jerks
yes they are and i hope it’s out of ignorance or inexperience or else madeline is going to be surrounded by mods who keep pushing away the people she’s trying to reach.
and – anecdotally speaking – i wish i could say that this was unique to her, but it seems to be REALLY common for all leftist groups – they’re not all fond of new people who don’t fit the image of what they’re expecting.

you must be one of madeline’s twitch mods. lol
how can i find out why your fellow mods rejected my application to her discord instance?
can it reach graphene os levels of privacy – where not even apple or isreal have the ability to look at the contents of your phone?
you’re preaching to the choir – i stopped trusting them when their ceo needlessly voiced support for ttrump and i shared my comment because i’ve been experiencing the downvotes/anger from the proton brigade on lemmy for it.

4·2 days agodoes Facebook no longer using it mean the NYPD are prevented from using it?
it means that facebook could not find a strong enough excuse to justify using them despite their well known lack of ethics, so anyone else using them is likewise morally bankrupt.
this community used to be full of proton fanboys – i’m genuinely surprised that this hasn’t been downvoted into oblivion because of it.

I’ve never seen anyone side-by-side compare the merits of iOS vs graphene os in this context and @[email protected] has given me reason to trust their take on the matter previoussly, so I asked.
I have nothing against iOS or Apple.
Or at least nothing out of the ordinary. :p
