So just no one should have kids at all then?

So just no one should have kids at all then?

In this economy, with record layoffs hitting many different industries, how can anyone be sure what the future holds?

I mind my own business
You’re weirdly fixated on wanting to blame people for having kids. That’s not even close to minding your own business.

“Just don’t lose your job”
Damn why didn’t I think of that?

A rising tide lifts all ships. A larger userbase doesn’t just mean “normies”, it means a wider variety of demographics, fandoms, and views.
And that in turn means that somewhere in the large userbase will be more people who match my freak. The main thing I used Reddit for was niche hobbies and fandoms, but over here I suspect I might be the only person on this platform who’s into my specific hyperfixations. If the userbase was large enough, there might be a chance to try and establish communities for some of those things.
But perhaps most importantly, I want this place to grow to prove that alternatives to the corporate social media platforms can succeed. And in order to do that, we do need “normies”, we need to pull them away from those corporate platforms.

Studies have shown that using cruelty as a deterrent doesn’t actually work.

There are people who deserve to be stripped of power and stopped from causing further suffering. But does making them suffer back actually accomplish anything productive?

In the short term, a lot of things will get worse before they get better. But in the long run, I do believe it eventually gets better.
Progress has always trended forwards. Look at where humanity was 50, 100, 200, 300 years ago.

Always get it in writing.

Maybe the fact that you hurl slurs at anyone who doesn’t tell you what you want to hear is why you keep getting banned.

4chan has been a hellhole ever since Jeffrey Epstein convinced Moot to bring back /pol/. This is true, look it up, and the damage that board did cannot be understated.
“It costs ten dollars.”
A flat statement of fact, with no tone.
“It costs just ten dollars.”
Changes the tone of the sentence, adding the implication that ten is not a lot.
These are not the same sentence.

It means step one is to provide housing, no questions asked, without it being contingent on drug or mental health testing. People need shelter and basic survival needs met first before you can even begin to try to address issues like addiction or mental illness.
Caveat with this is that blocking entire instances means you’re also blocking users, not just communities, and may miss posts in non-anime communities.

I do believe that most things will get better in the end. Maybe not everything, and maybe not as quickly as you like. Maybe some things get worse before they get better. But for every one thing that gets worse, two things do get better.
Consider where humanity was 100, 200, 300, 400 years ago. Every generation ends up being better off than the last.
The base concept of trying to do the most good with your charity dollars by researching the causes you want to give to and doing the math on what will have the most impact per dollar spent, that makes sense.
The problem is when it turns into a paperclip-maximizing scenario where if mosquito nets are deemed to be the most efficient cause, all other causes are seen as ‘wrong’ and should be ignored. Or the extra stupid answer where the most efficient cause is developing the super AI that will someday solve infinite problems, because hey if it works it will become infinite expected value per dollar and the math says that’s good even if the probability is low… all while accomplishing nothing now with no guarantee that it ever actually will work.

I think you’ve already answered your own question.

The ending explicitly states that there is no afterlife. All humans become nothingness when they die.

The existence of the death note proves the existence of the afterlife, and as the one who found it I am clearly the predestined divine ruler of earth.
Using the death note causes ones soul to be irreparably marked and when you die your soul is obliterated (iirc the Shinigami eat it but it’s been a while so idk specifics end result is obliteration)
Ryuk tells Light that anyone who uses the Death Note will not go to Heaven or Hell after they die. He’s technically telling the truth, but…
The ending explicitly states that there is no Heaven or Hell. All humans become nothingness when they die. The Death Note user is simply no different in this regard.
Nintendo is nowhere near the worst thing in the video game industry right now. Not saying I agree with everything they do, but compared to pretty much every other AAA? Their games actually feel like complete products on day 1, they don’t fire half their employees as soon as a game releases, they don’t try to get kids hooked on gambling, and they don’t fund genocide.
