…so she’s a bull in bed, presumably?

Track point navigation is a myth.

You need a separate device to act as a firewall. See if you can get a device running OpenWRT or pfSense to manage your whole network (search those terms on eBay to find cheap devices pre-flashed) and put the server on its own VLAN with minimal access to the outside world and no access to your trusted LAN.

I don’t speak German, but I recommend that everyone carry a multitool with them at all times. Sometimes it’s nice to have a strong, stubby bit of metal with sharp corners with you. I use mine all the time, for all sorts of things.

On the one hand (aha) only the air vent gets touched and so the spy sauce itself should be fine. But on the other hand, a lot of bottles don’t distinguish between the air vent and the pouring nozzle and even on those that do you can guarantee that some dipshit will use them the wrong way around. Sooool, yeah. Great for home use.

In the darkness of your mind. In the kitchen of the night. In the cupboard of your heart. That’s where you’ll find…

Security through obscurity.

I don’t know why you were downvoted. Every modern fridge and freezer comes with a built-in heater coil for defrosting. More in-depth articles actually make it sound like the heat pump was turned off and the defrost cycle was repeatedly triggered.
I read that as “connect your toilet to your lamps” and I thought, ah, yes, a Home Assistant user.
That’s my general response to that. Someone who pays a hooker for their services isn’t better than a hooker. Someone who pays McDonalds for a burger isn’t better than the guy cooking it. If you’re so much better than them, why the fuck are you paying them for their skills? Either you’re worth less than the lowest person in your own mental heirarchy, or - an idea - everyone is equally worthy.

As a UK citizen: yes, please. We need to commit this time, and that will mean actually taking part with gusto. Our arms-length approach to the EU was one of the reasons the Brexiteers were able to peddle their them-vs-us narrative.
Though I would just ask that if we’re going to adopt the Euro, can we please make the banknotes look a little less drab.

No, that’s how you take a screenshot.

Brenetration. Without Bretexion.

“But if we don’t destroy without discrimination first, someone else might!”
It’s just white wine with the tiniest little drop of ketchup added.
It’s an interesting project to set up your own mail server but it’s not simple, especially if you’ve never hosted a public-facing service like that before. It’s a good way of learning the ins-and-outs of hosting, DNS, certificates, networking, etc but you really need to want to do it and it’s not worth doing for its own sake, imho. Initial setup is a pain in the ass, but ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting is awful.
