I think people who want private OSes and people who want offline storage for things have a lot of overlap

It’s not even really freedom because it still struggles to run normal Linux programs

I think a powerful Linux phone plus a laptop chassis that connects to the phone somehow and turns it into a laptop would be really nice

So basically not an upgrade from my Pixel 6 Pro then. Irritating that Google/GrapheneOS abandons phones that work perfectly fine since that’s the only reason I’m even considering an upgrade.

I can see 16GB phones being useful, but there needs to be cheaper options

I would maybe consider spending $2000 on a phone if it was functionally as usable as a laptop. Which Android is not.

I guess I’ll upgrade to a Pixel 8 Pro instead

FYI they have a limited free version now where you can get more usage out of it by clearing cookies, but it might behave differently on different IP addresses
Why not just do it now?

The reason Republicans there are so aggressive is because they’re fighting tooth and nail to stay in power
Dont know if they could kill compatibility for vaultwarden if they chose to.
Well bitwarden.com has made changes that broke compatibility with rbw for certain things, but the main problem here IMO is rbw not getting updated
I’m strongly considering getting a hardware key. Is Yubikey the best choice or are the other options also worth considering?
Are they proprietary?
IVPN seems like a decent option
I would switch to KeePass if its sync method was more sane than “big binary file + Syncthing”, it seems like all the password manager options kindof suck in some way

They’re getting threatened by the US and they can’t even change a word processor, lol good luck to them

I think Texas and Florida end up on the news a lot because of the high population and economic activity and disproportionately red government compared to the voter base, but they’re not the reddest states population-wise.

I live here and am convinced that its the most idiotic state in the entire country.

I was in DFW for a while and it felt very capitalist but not MAGA compared to where I live currently
Phones like these have features that power users love like headphone jack, expandable storage, removable battery, and repairability improvements. They also have really good software support too and a lot of OS options, such as both mainline Linux support and Android. And on top of that, a 10+ year support lifetime so you can really get the most out of your hardware. It might be $1000+ USD more expensive than the alternatives, but the freedom, added functionality, and longevity it gives you makes it really worth it!
