  • Honestly, it’s pretty left wing and there can be duplicates of communities. There’s far less content than on Reddit but I find that better because I lost weeks of my life doom scrolling on Reddit. I hit a point on here where I just have to wait for more stuff to appear. One good thing about that is you can comment on something and actually be heard. Not like on Reddit where all but the most niche communities have 200+ comments on each post.

Also, and this is a big one, you have to be running Linux.

  • iPhone’s built-in mail client and Thunderbird on desktop technically, though in reality I normally use webmail.

I haven’t found a single client for Linux that I like, they’re all shit really. I don’t know why they find it so difficult. They all try to inundate you with features and overcomplicate it. I mean, don’t clutter my screen up with shit and just show me my fucking emails. Why’s it so hard? I want something like the Windows 10 email client but I want it on Linux. One side of the window should list my emails, and in a larger pane it should show the email content. I want a pop up to give me a small preview of the email when I get a new one and if I have clicked it in a few seconds it should fuck off. Simple.
