8·4 days agoThe population does not grow in most of the world anymore. Why do we need to improve people’s quality of life all the time? Why don’t we improve the sustainability of the quality we have right now? Because its abysmal and this will (or is it already ?) fuck up everybody’s quality of life for the next 100k years. Resources are limited and unlimited growth is not possible.

2·14 days agoNo, it does not translate to that (?)
I said that one of two violent groups is largely of migrant background (probably more second and third generation than actual immigrants). And that they are badly integrated and often straight out hostile to French culture and society.
This is because in the reality thing out there that’s the case.
I did not even talk about the reasons you already assume i’m a racist and see it as a direct consequence of the race/culture of the immigrants.
I’m out of here, have fun in your bubble…

Europe@feddit.org•German industry bleeds nearly 500,000 jobs amid 'structural shift'English
1·15 days agoI didn’t say Germany should not have a car industry at all. I said the size the car industry Germany currently has should not be artificially kept up. Of course cars bought in Germany/Europe should be produced in Germany/Europe.
The whole “Exportweltmeister” (export world champion, a term proudly used by Germans for a while) thing was never sustainable. Unfortunately voters think its the Greens/Energy transitions/whatever fault the whole thing comes crashing down now.
(That being said, cars are a waste of resources wherever they are built)

Europe@feddit.org•German industry bleeds nearly 500,000 jobs amid 'structural shift'English
11·15 days agoI agree this is the case for defense industry including industries the defense industry needs. But the rest? Why does Germany need such a big car industry in a world where China has learned to build cars (even better ones) themselves (and it was absolutely foreseeable that this would happen) and the US goes full protectionism (ok this one was less foreseeable)? Trying to keep that alive is a waste of resources.

Europe@feddit.org•Volkswagen is 'getting ready' to bring some of its Chinese cars to EuropeEnglish
3·17 days agoThey are evaluation bringing china only models (i.e. models developed and built to be sold in China) to Europe. This has not been done before. The case you are referring to are models built in China which were intended to be sold in Europe from the start, which is not the same.
