This is just heartbreaking. How fucking vile do you have to be to invite that on your own child? It’s vitamin K, not battery acid. Poor babies, I wish so many children had better parents.
Idiots who don’t understand that, to evolution, your baby is a fuckin’ rounding error, and they also don’t understand why it is that infant/childhood mortality is now so low. I think these motherfuckers think that ER is the end-all be-all of medical science, rather than a side show, when compared to decades of development in preventative medicine and public health policy.
I know a person with a PhD in biology who bought into the whole “too many shots all at once” nonsense. Not full anti-vax but definitely on the “delayed vaccine” slippery slope.
Vaccinations are like learning to dodge and block Matrix style instead of getting repeatedly jumped in the streets and kicked in the head a lot. You can learn a lot more, a lot faster when you’re not suffering from broken bones, concussions, and a swollen face.
These parents probably think hospitals lie as much as they do themselves.
The parents should be chemically castrated
No. They’re obviously the type to take issue with chemicals. Regular castration, to respect their wishes.
Touché
Natural selection didn’t go anywhere. Dumb parents killing their kids with their stupidity, all to pad the pockets of those who run our bread and circuses.
Genetics plays a relatively small part when it comes to intelligence, and even if you have 2 parents as thick as planks, that can be overcome. Even if it that weren’t the case, this line of thinking leads to some very dark eugenicy roads. Not saying this is what you’re suggesting of course, I’m just pointing out that from a societal POV, we can’t afford to just call it natural selection and move on. Not least of all because it’s the completely innocent children that are the ones to suffer the consequences. Also, IMO, it’s not an intelligence thing. It’s a misinformation thing. (insert garfield propaganda meme here) It’s yet another symptom of a much wider movement in the world to discredit science and muddy the waters, deliberately trying to keep people scared and isolated.
Not my point but well said.
Does oral drop elicit the same rejection?
The better question is ‘are oral vitamin K drops effective in infants?’ (They are not)
