The largest power plant in the UK produces almost 5% of the country’s electricity by burning woody biomass pellets, making the site the single largest emitter of carbon dioxide, according to analysts.
These emissions are not accounted for by the UK government because Drax claims the equivalent carbon emissions are absorbed by growing trees that provide the waste wood used to make the biomass pellets.
Presumably no effort to factor in the diesel used to transport the biomass from Canada to the UK. They have also been caught using ancient woodland trees. Total con that it’s considered green.
So could a sufficient amount of people on exercise bikes with mounted dynamos, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a good idea.

Its not even a black mirror idea Im pretty sure we used to have a prison where people where supposed to walk the stair step machine all day and generate power. They didn’t even make use of the power either.
